Dear Parents/Guardians;

Hope you are having a blessed week.

Our fifth Religious Education Parent Meeting will be held this Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 10:05am. Please join me, in the auditorium, after dropping off your child(ren) for their in-person class at 10:00am at St Andrew School.

During the meeting, I will ask the parents in attendance to pick up the at-home guide for Unit 4 (chapters 16-19). This packet will help facilitate any assistance the parent or guardian will need to help their child with the at-home sessions/chapters during the month of February.

If you cannot join us in person, a webinar experience will be offered next week that will serve as a make-up and a means for delivering to you the at-home guide packets.

Kindergarten-6th grade will have their in-person class this Sunday, February 2, 2025 at 10:00am-10:50am at Saint Andrew School.

7th grade program will meet on Sunday, February , 202 at 3:30pm -4:45pm as part of their scheduled Religious Ed class. They will meet in the auditorium.

Celebrate Candlemas!

You know about Christmas but do you know about Candlemas? Sunday, February 2, 2025 is the feast of the Presentation of the Lord also know as Candlemas. It comes precisely 40 days after Christmas and the two celebrations are linked. Christ enters the world at Christmas but is celebrated as the light of the world on February 2. Thus the ancient tradition of having your household candles blessed at Mass on February 2 and the name "candle"-"mas." There will be a blessing of candles at all Masses next weekend and each family is invited to take a blessed candle home with them.

It's Time for Wearin' The Green!

It's Wearin' the Green season which means it's time to get excited for the 21st Annual Saint Andrew's fundraiser and community celebration held on Saturday, March 1, 2025. The event website, www.Wearinthegreen.com, is also chock full of helpful Wearin' the Green information and is your place to purchase admissions, sponsorships, benefactor tables, advertiser spots, make donations, etc. Important information will come out weekly to keep you up to date on everything Wearin' the Green. Chapter 16 - Online Review

The links below are provided for the students who are not able to attend RE class this Sunday for whatever reason. If a parent cannot attend the meeting in person, parent(s) should complete the webinar that will be distributed by email next week. They should then download the at-home guide for Unit 4 and begin the review with chapter 16 with your child.

To receive credit for completing the chapter, please click on the corresponding grade level and complete the chapter review found below.

When your child finishes the online review, the ultimate goal is to send the results of the review to re@standrew.org. I find it best if you put your own email into the online form first and then forward the email that you will receive from Loyola Press to us at re@standrew.org. That way, you will know that the results was sent to us.
