Dear Friend,
We've made it to the most sacred week in our year -- Holy Week!
We invite you to join in the sacred liturgies that enter us more fully into the experience of Christ's Passion, Death, and Resurrection. This begin this weekend with the blessing of palms and the reading of the Lord's Passion at all of our Masses.
Special note --- the 9:00am Mass on Sunday will begin in our chapel on the corner of Hermitage and Addison so that all worshipers may participate in the grand procession of palms along the sidewalk on Addison Ave. This sacred procession reminds us of Jesus' triumphant entrance into Jerusalem. Please gather in the chapel rather than in the main church.
Similarly, all other Masses will have a blessing of palm branches. For the 4:00pm vigil, 11:00am and 5:00pm Mases, the blessing will take place in the back of church as Mass begins. Please gather near the doors of the church before entering into the pews.
We also hope that you will join us for services on Holy Thursday (7:00pm), Good Friday (3:00pm), and the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday (8:30pm). All told, these liturgies remind us of God's great love for us expressed through the self-gift of Jesus Christ. May we all find comfort and strength in his great love!
