Somehow, June is upon us! A few months ago, when we began planning for the parish and school photo directory, having the first photography sessions in early June seemed so far away. We are just a few days away and want to make sure that everyone has a chance to be a part of this parish and school keepsake. There are still plenty of appointments for this Thursday, June 5 and a handful of appointments available on Wed, Fri, and Sat.
As will be shared with all of those who are registered, the appointments will be held in the parish social hall (the old chapel). Photographers will meet you and your family there and register you so that you can receive a free 8x10 of your photo and a free copy of the parish and school photo directory once it is completed. Blessing of Graduates
Saint Andrew Parish will celebrate the accomplishments of all of the graduates within the parish on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at the 9:00am Mass. A special blessing and commemoration will be offered to graduates at any level of schooling - elementary, secondary, college, and grad school. Please make plans to join us to celebrate their achievements.
Leavetaking Celebration for Fr. Sergio
We are saddened by the recent announcement that Fr. Sergio Romo, pastor of Saint Andrew Parish for 16 years has been appointed by Archbishop Cardinal Cupich to be the new pastor at Saint Gertrude Parish in Edgewater even as we celebrate this next step in his ministry!
Fr. Sergio will have his final Mass at Saint Andrew Parish at 4:00pm on Saturday, June 14, 2025 with a reception to follow. We encourage all parishioners to attend!
Make Lunches for Uncle Pete's Ministry
On Saturday, June 14th from 9:45 AM to 11:45 AM all Saint Andrew and St. Benedict parishioners are invited to serve our community, with the covenant team, in packing bag lunches for our hungry neighbors in need. We are partnering with Uncle Pete’s Ministry to prepare and distribute bag lunches to those experiencing homelessness in Chicago. We will be packing lunches in St Andrew's gym.
