Dear Friend,
We wish all fathers a happy Father's Day this weekend as we remember the tremendous impact that fathers have on all of us. The role is never easy and rests somewhere between the gap of expectation and appreciation. What God offers us in that void is sustenance to men to fulfill their vocation as fathers, forgiveness and healing to the wounds suffered as we all learn better how to love, hope that might inspire fathers as they live out their role as modeled by God's total gift of self, and gratitude for the many benefits received through and by the generosity of our fathers.
To honor our fathers and strengthen them with our prayers, all fathers are invited to receive a special blessing after each of the Masses his weekend.
Speaking of fathers, tonight we celebrate the gift of Fr. Sergio Romo, who has been a father not only in title but in practice to our community for sixteen years. He will have his final Mass tonight, Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 4:00pm followed by a reception in his honor. All parishioners are invited to attend and to offer their personal gratitude and regards during this leave-taking.
