We hope you are having a great week! I’m glad to report to you that in the first two weeks that we have had the Penny Challenge to support Matiamulumba Kakooza through
One Heart Uganda
, we’ve done a great job! The Penny Challenge will continue with this
Sunday, March 31, 2019
and then again when our classes resume after Easter.
I want to share with you some of the results of this good work we do every year. Here is a letter from Matiamulumba expressing his gratitude for the gift of an education!.
First Communion Retreat:
Saturday, March 30, 2019
our second-grade parents will be gathered with their children for the First Communion Retreat from 1pm to 5pm in the Chapel and Auditorium. Please keep them in your prayers. As many of our parents with older children can attest, the First Communion Retreat is always great family time spent together.
Sunday, March 31, 2018
, at 8:50amwe will have our final class before Easter Break. This is the final parent’s session of our year and will cover chapters 20 & 25 (with one session done at home). After you drop your child off in the school at 8:45am, please proceed to the Social Hall where I'll have some Coffee and Donuts, we'll have our parent session, and you can pick up your at-home packets for you and your children.
If you cannot attend the meeting this Sunday, there will be a make up session on
Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at 7:00pm
in the Social Hall. (We had to move the make-up session to Wednesday because of scheduling conflicts).
Also note that the Parish Mission is coming upon us on
Friday, April 5, Saturday April 6, and Sunday, April 7, 2019.
This is our premiere event every year to accompany families as they grow in faith. Come join us at 6:30 pm for dinner and stay for either the adult or child presentation each night. The Parish Mission (think at-home spiritual retreat) will be led by Deacon Loren and Sam Bowns. Here’s short video about them and the presentation they will give.
We hope you’ll join us at the Parish Mission. In the mean time, we’ll look forward to seeing you this Sunday!
