Dear Parents/Guardians,

I hope that you are having a wonderful summer!

Even though I wish you all endless summer magic, I know that in the distant future, we'll be looking at the return to school and picking up where we left off in Confirmation preparation.

Let me start by pointing your attention to the Faith in Action Reflection Form that his below. This can be completed by our candidates for Confirmation who have completed all three of their Faith in Action projects, they can complete the form and return it to me. They'll be all done!

Faith In Action Reflection Form

Sticking with Faith in Action projects for a moment. The next organized projects will be:

Service to the Environment - Saturday, September 12, 2026 - 9:00am to 11:00am Montrose Harbor

Service to Those on the Margins - Saturday, November 7, 2026 - 8:00am to 11:30am - Mission of Our Lady of the Angels.

Sign ups for these sessions will be coming in the weeks ahead (closer to the school year).

And the big news for all of us, we have heard from Bishop Siemianowski. He will be coming to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation with our candidates on Tuesday, January 12, 2027 at 6:30pm. Please mark your calendars and share this information with your child's Confirmation Sponsors.

We've also been able to secure the schedule for the Confirmation Retreat which will be held on Sunday, October 4, 2026 from 9:30am to 2:30pm at the National Shrine of Saint Mother Cabrini in Lincoln Park. We'll hear more about this as we get closer and I'll already state that I will need some considerable help for this retreat to be done well. Please let me know if you are interested.

Thank you so much and God bless!

David Heimann
