I wanted to invite you before religious education starts to mark the beginning of the academic year by joining in the Blessing of Backpacks which will take place at the 9:00am Mass on Sunday, August 30 2026. It is a chance for students to welcome God's blessing into their academic year and prepare themselves for the journey ahead. Make plans to join us!

Registration for Religious Education Registration has opened for the coming 2026-27 school year. Participants in last year’s program do not need to register again if your contact information has remained the same.
Simply email me at david@standrew.org or call the parish office (773-525-3016) to indicate that your child will participate or email me at david@standrew.org. Cost for the program is $320 per family per year. If you need to make a payment for Religious Education for the coming year, you can do so by writing a check and sending it to Saint Andrew Parish or online through Flocknote Fund It
Second grade families should also note the calendar's inclusion of special dates in preparing for first communion.
