Dear Friend,
More than 55,000 people are expected to run in this year's Chicago Marathon. If you've ever ventured over to the course as it moves through Lakeview, or if you've been in Grant Park for the start or finish, you know the excitement (and exhaustion!) of the runners and their supporters. It is truly an exciting event that showcases the amazing neighborhoods of our beautiful city.
We pray for all the runners and visitors this weekend, and we offer a special blessing for those running this year at the 4:00 PM Mass on Saturday, October 10. Runners will be called up at the end of Mass to receive the blessing.
Key notifications for the week ahead at Saint Andrew Parish are listed below.

Capital Campaign Update
Saint Andrew Parish is kicking off the Generation to Generation: Answer the Call campaign. Our parish’s participation in the campaign, along with all parishes in the Archdiocese of Chicago, will meet needs of our parish and support Catholic ministries in Cook and Lake counties. More information about the campaign and videos from both Cardinal Cupich and Fr. Hank can be found at https://standrew.org/generation-to-generation/ Our goal at Saint Andrew Parish is to raise $1,400,000 in pledges payable over five (5) years from our parish families. At least fifty percent of the funds from these pledges will go toward the parish needs listed below. The remaining fifty percent will go towards spiritually renewing our church, supporting our priests, and assisting vulnerable communities.Capital Campaign Kegger

Second Collection Next Week
For the past 100 years we have contributed to the evangelizing mission of the Church with our prayers and practical support on World Mission Sunday. This year we again reflect on our call to missionary discipleship and give generously to support the missionary works of the Church in 1,130 dioceses that are too young, poor or persecuted to be self-sufficient. Every gift, no matter the size, is a meaningful act of missionary communion! We will be taking a second collection on Sunday October 18.
Join us for Mass
4:00pm on Saturdays
and (family-focused) 9:00am,
11:00am, and 5:00pm on Sundays.
