E-Bulletin - June 10, 2019
Just to update you on some "Church News," a few parishioners have been asking whether or not we are changing the words to the "Our Father" when we say Mass. This comments have been made in light of recent news articles which indicate that Pope Francis "approved" a new translation that emphasize that "God does not lead us into temptation."
The truth is that we aren't changing anything
(nor do we have the authority to do so)
. The news reports indicated that the pope has made approval to change a document which will then go through a committee, which will then be translated, which will then be promulgated to local bishop conferences, which twill allow for local bishops to authorize a change, which will result in a letter sent to us giving us enough time to implement before a change actually takes place, probably on the First Sunday of Advent. Long story short... it will likely be a few years before anything happens. Our suggestion is to enjoy the summer, the warm weather, time with friends, and when something that significant changes, we'll let you know! (With plenty of time to prepare.)
Here are a few important notices from the parish for the week ahead.

If you are headed on vacation anytime soon, have a great time! But please remember that God goes with you on vacation! The Catholic Church is bustling with many branch locations in every part of the world. It's not too hard to find Mass wherever you are going. We recommend the website
to find a place and time to continue practicing your faith while away.
Lastly, because so many people from our community travel during the summer, our collections often go down which make it harder for us to meet our operational expenses. If you can make a commitment (or up your commitment) to electronic giving, we would be greatly appreciative! Sign up or increase your participation by
